South Farm offers a perfect setting year-round for your bespoke party. It's a tranquil and romantic haven of enchanting gardens, fine restored buildings and extensive grounds - all family owned and managed.
Parties can be held both indoors and outdoors, in the Tudor Barn, the Drawing Room or the Summer Garden: Rain or shine we have the perfect space. You will have exclusive use of South Farm and our extensive grounds and gardens for your event.
We are deep in the countryside on the Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire borders, yet within easy reach of the A1, A10 and M11, London, Stansted, Luton, and Cambridge.
The main house, beautifully restored and furnished, is the gateway to enchanting gardens, timber framed listed Tudor Barns, the Courtyard hub, our barnyard and its menagerie of rare breed farmyard animals, and a quite unique organic smallholding that provides year round fresh vegetables, fruit, herbs, eggs and pork to our award winning kitchen.
Whether you choose to have a drinks party, informal family gathering, large Anniversary celebration or elaborate 200-guest party, here at South Farm, our friendly event managers and professional kitchen staff can create the event of your choice. We have a fully licensed bar or charge corkage. Most of our food is sourced from our organic farm.
South Farm can accommodate any type of party - small or large. The House itself is suitable for small dinner parties (capacity 14), or cocktail parties (capacity 40). The striking Old Dairy can seat 40 guests and the Tudor Barn can seat up to 150 (250 with a marquee) or hold 200 for a party.
Party guests can roam the charming country gardens, wandering amongst the friendly animals: peacocks, Kune Kune pigs, Black Indian Runner ducks to name a few.
South Farm provides ample parking for all guests, and has both disabled and baby changing facilities on site.
