“ There is absolutely no place like South Farm. We loved every single second of our incredible wedding day and have nothing but amazing things to say about them. We wouldn’t change a thing. The South Farm team were insane, food was insane, planning process was insane and the beauty of our day was just absolutely beyond. We couldn’t have asked for anything more. “

Eloise & Gen’s late September celebration was nothing short of EPIC – a day filled with love, laughter and all the dreamy details they’d been hoping for! From the very first showround with Evie, they knew our charming countryside wedding venue in Hertfordshire was the one, and we’re over the moon to hear their day was everything they imagined — and more.

It was such a joy to celebrate with them and see their lovely families come together for the most magical day. Those group shots? Total perfection. Read all about how they met and how they planned the perfect day with us — trust us, you won’t want to miss this one!

Date of your Wedding: 25.09.2024

Time of your Ceremony: 1:30pm

We’d love to hear your first date stories or tell us how and when you first met?
Gen and I were high school sweethearts and met and started dating our first year of secondary school when we were just 12 years old. We grew up together and went on to finish school with each other, then to buy our first home together, get engaged and fall pregnant all in 2021 at 20 years old. We then had our first little boy when we were 21 and got married in 2024 which is also the same year we fell pregnant with our second little boy! We are now expecting him to join our family this upcoming June.

Which parts of the venue did you use for your big day?
We used the whole venue on our wedding day! Our guests were amazed by the space and how beautiful everything was!

Which was your favourite spot for wedding photos?
The majority of our photos were taken by the stunning blue door as it’s such a South Farm statement and we loved it!

Tell us about any special colour schemes you had for your wedding day and how you styled your big day?
Our colour scheme was dusky blue. We wanted to match the vibes of South Farm and so we bought in all the blues!

How did you first hear about South Farm and what made you choose our venue for your wedding day?
I had researched lots of different venues but once I came across South Farm there was no going back! Any price I was willing to pay! I knew from the moment I came across it online that this was where I would get married! It was everything I dreamed of. As soon as my tour began in September 2023 my eyes were watering. I knew it was exactly where I’d be spending my wedding day. Evie was amazing and absolutely made this happen for us.

Tell us some detail about your special day?
We had a very intimate wedding and just had our very closest people to us! Myself and John had around 25 of our favourite and closest people there to celebrate with us both. It was very personal to us and every moment was so well thought through. We had specific songs playing all day that were memories to us and special to our time together. We had seven Bridesmaids and seven Groomsmen by our sides to make our day the best ever.

How did you feel on the day?
In the morning we both had a few nerves but the second we saw each other it was just a day completely filled with love!! We loved every second and couldn’t believe everything all day was as amazing as it was! We felt completely and utterly blessed and overwhelmed. It was a day of love.

What was your most memorable moment from your wedding?
The most memorable moment from our wedding would have to be listening to the most lovely speeches alongside the most INCREDIBLE food! Every single guest was absolutely blown away by the food!!

How did you choose you first dance song?
Our first dance song had been a song that we decided on when we were very young that we just knew was our song. From the second we heard it together we always knew that that would be our song.

How many Bridesmaids did you have and how did you ask them to be your Bridesmaids?
We had six Bridesmaids and one Maid of Honour. We asked them by making them their own little card personalized to them.

How did you pick your Best Men and Ushers?
Gen definitely found this the hardest decision ever. Out of his 30 best friends!! It took a whole lot of thought and narrowing down. We eventually, after probably five months of wedding planning, managed to narrow it down!

How many speeches did you have and do you have any advice for anyone giving a speech?
We had five speeches altogether. Both our Fathers, the two Best Men and of course- the Groom!

Gen would definitely say not to make notes on different pages because you may almost forget to mention your brand new wife in your speech!!!

What did you wear?
I wore a long white timeless dress and Gen wore a traditional white barong from the Philippines.

Is there anything you would have done differently?
Absolutely not. It was the day we dreamed of!

What are your top tips for other couples?
Take every second and moment in, spend as much time as you can together & ABSOLUTELY HAVE THE HOG ROAST!!!

Where did you go on Honeymoon?
We went for a little mini moon the weekend after our wedding by the coast in a beautiful honeymoon lodge with a lovely hot tub and great views but we plan to go abroad on a trip next year once baby number two is here!
