We first met at my work 23 years ago and our first date was on the 24th May bowling at David Lloyds Enfield, and we have never looked back.

Which parts of the venue did you use for your big day?
The ceremony was in the Summer House, drinks reception was on the Garden Terrace and reception was in the Tudor Barn.

Tell us about any special colour schemes or how you styled your big day?
Our wedding had a Spring theme with green as our chosen colour, perfect for our May wedding day.

How did you first hear about South Farm and what made you choose our venue for your wedding day?
We first heard about South Farm through my wife’s friend. We chose South Farm when we came for our first visit, an absolutely stunning location and one of the main reasons was the in-house staff that we could just tell was going to make our day special.

Tell us some detail about your special day?
Almost everything was perfect. We hired a string quartet who set up in the garden near the refreshments area, they were amazing! We didn’t feel any pressure to do anything on the day apart from being there.  South Farm is a very well run countryside wedding venue. Our photographer was amazing and made everyone feel super comfortable. It was brilliant and well thought out how it all works. Married in the charming Summer House within the formal gardens, with a refreshing outdoor bar on the garden terrace and canapés served to guests. Everything just flowed perfectly.

How did you feel on the day?
Very nervous but it was a happy nervous. Wife was very relaxed.

What was your most memorable moment from your wedding?
The ceremony

How did you choose your ceremony and first dance music?
We always wanted to get married outside if possible so the Summer House was our first choice. We just chose our first dance as it sum’s us and our relationship up perfectly.

How many Bridesmaids did you have and how did you ask them to be your Bridesmaids?
We had two Bridesmaids and they are our daughter’s.

How did you pick your Best men and Ushers?
My Best Man was my older brother and my Usher was my eldest son.

How many speeches did you have and do you have any advice for anyone giving a speech?
We only had two speeches, me and my Best Man. The advice I would give is stay sober until after your speech. I did the speeches before we ate for this reason.  Also keep them short and always make your wife the most important and special part of your speech, NO over the top jokes.

What did you wear?
I wore a traditional morning suit and Vicky wore a traditional wedding dress.

Is there anything you would have done differently?
Hired a videographer.

What are your top tips for other couples?
Good photographer and videographer. If it’s at South Farm I would say relax and just enjoy your day.

Where did you go on honeymoon?
We went to Portugal.
