Last week, we had the most wonderful pleasure of opening the Apple Shed’s doors and welcoming a fabulous gathering of local businesses and wedding suppliers to come and see it for themselves.
Our guests wandered through the gardens and spaces, had an insightful tour of our organic small-holding, savoured seasonal canapés fresh from our kitchen, and sipped on home-grown apple juice right here from the farm. Every single guest left with a South Farm goodie bag filled with produce grown in our small-holding — a little taste of what we grow at our sustainable wedding venue in Cambridgeshire.

The Apple Shed has been designed with one simple intention — to make the wedding morning feel just as special, seamless and memorable as everything that follows.
From 8am on your wedding day, this calm, private and beautifully considered space is entirely yours. Inside you’ll find a light-filled main room for hair and make-up, a separate dressing room perfect for that First Look moment, a spacious bathroom, a bespoke kitchen and a cosy lounge to settle into the morning. Step outside and there’s a stunning secluded season-inspired garden with stylish seating — the perfect spot for those first celebratory drinks before the ceremony begins.
The Apple Shed was designed from start to finish by Mackenzie Home. The design process prioritised sustainability and environmentally-conscious materials, echoing South Farm’s Green Mission. Structural and design considerations, such as wood fibre insulation and natural materials throughout, bring a calm and natural feeling to the space. The furniture and finishes were sourced from small British suppliers where possible, from names like Julian Chichester, Christopher Farr and Tom Faulkner.
Every detail quietly considered. Because the morning matters too.
