Clare and Keith’s journey from meeting 20 years ago to tying the knot in a Star Wars-themed celebration proves that the Force really was with them and we are so glad that South Farm was ‘the one!’
Their beautiful garden ceremony was followed by a delicious meal in our stunning Tudor Barn. They enjoyed making wedding day memories to treasure along with amazing photos in so many different parts of our farm wedding in Hertfordshire – their favourite place for photos was, of course, with the piglets!

We met through ten pin bowling 20 years ago.
Which areas of South Farm you used for your big day?
We had our ceremony in the Summer House, drinks reception in the Old Diary and evening dancing in the Horse Barn.
Which was your favourite spot for wedding photos?
Everywhere. The grounds are so lovely
Tell us about any special colour schemes and themes you had for your wedding day?
Our colour scheme was yellow as that is the brides favourite colour. Our theming was Star Wars and Lilo & Stitch. Stars Wars as we got married on Stars Day and it is also the Groom’s favourite film and Lilo & Stitch as the Bride is obsessed with Stitch.
How did you first hear about South Farm and what made you choose our venue for your wedding day?
Through a google search of wedding venues. The Bride loved it there as soon as she got out of the car for the viewing.
How did you feel on the day?
Happy.
What was your most memorable moment from your wedding?
Having pictures with the pigs.
How many bridesmaids did you have and how did you ask them to be a special part of your wedding day?
Three bridesmaids. I sent them all little boxes containing a chocolate bar saying bridesmaid, a bracelet and a scratchcard saying will you be my bridesmaid.
How did you pick your best men and ushers?
We didn’t have any ushers. The best man was Keith’s best friend.
Is there anything you would have done differently?
Nothing. Everything was perfect.
What are your top tips for other couples?
Make sure to spend some time just the two of you as the day goes so quickly.
Where are you planning to go on honeymoon?
We are planning to do a Road Trip in the US
