Time of your ceremony: 1:00pm

Location of your ceremony: The Old Dairy

We’d love to hear how and when you first met?
We had known each other for a long time but Scott messaged after a long period of no contact, we went out for a ‘catch up’ and have never looked back.

Which parts of the venue were used for your big day?
Our ceremony was in the Old Dairy, we had our drinks reception in the gardens, which were just stunning! Such a lovely space. We held our first dance in the Horse Barn, DJ Gary created a special atmosphere by asking all guests to gather in around the dance floor. It was an extremely special moment.

Tell us about any special colour themes you had for your wedding day or how you styled your big day?
We had shades of sage green as our Bridesmaids dresses. Our flowers were white and green, which matched our stationery, which we kept elegant and simple with white/black and sage green. Our Groomsmen also wore green suits with sage green ties. We were so happy with the overall look and finishing touches. We also had touches of gold throughout.

How did you first hear about South Farm and what made you choose our venue for your wedding day?
I attended a wedding at South Farm about 17 years ago and loved it then. But coming back for a visit we knew it was everything we dreamed of. But it is more than just a venue it is the people at the venue that really make it! Every single member of staff we interacted with, from our first visit to the morning after our wedding have been simply incredible. Helen, who supported us on our wedding day, we would like to make a special mention to. She was so attentive, it was beyond what we had ever imagined, she checked in on us throughout the day and let us know when everything was going to happen. She was such an important part of our day and we will be forever grateful. We honestly do not have the words to express how amazing she was on our day. We do hope you can pass on our thanks to her, she was phenomenal!

Tell us some detail about your special day?
Our ceremony was beautiful, the Old Dairy creates such a lovely atmosphere, with only small individual touches needed, if any. The service was seamless with the Registrar making us both feel at ease as if she knew us well! She was lovely with our guests and really made the moment unforgettable.

We had the most beautiful sunny Spring day which made the drinks reception in the gardens spectacular, guests enjoyed the drinks, canapés and the beautiful surroundings, whilst congratulating us and enjoying each others company.

Our photographers knew South Farm so well, they were able to take us to some beautiful spots for our photos but they also ensured we had plenty of time with our guests and they were so much fun to spend time with when we were completing photos.

Our first dance in the Horse Barn and cake cutting, just prior in the Tudor Barn, were also very special moments, DJ Gary MC’d these for us.

How did you feel on the day?
Like it was all a dream! It still feels that way now! Our wedding day far surpassed anything we could have imagined. South Farm was such a special and magical place, all of our guests had such an incredible day and all have commented on how amazing South Farm was, from the food, to the staff to the beautiful setting and spaces.

What was your most memorable moment from your wedding?
Seeing each other for the first time at our ceremony. Both overcome with so much emotion. We will never forget it.

How did you choose your ceremony and first dance music?
We took some time over choosing our music. In the end we went with songs that meant the most to us, reminding one another of each other And meaningful lyrics.

What are your top tips for other couples?
Choose your photographer carefully. We had such a great time at our wedding with ours! We are so excited to see the rest of the photos. She helped so much prior to the wedding on timelines of the day and the sorts of photos we wanted. These are the moments you can keep forever in your photos!

Spend the day together! We are so happy that we got to spend our day together and enjoyed all the special moments as husband and wife.
