From a chance meeting at Tattersalls mare sales to a love story that truly was “meant to be,” Jessica & David’s beautiful wedding celebration is proof that timing is everything. Years after first crossing paths, their story came full circle and what better place to say “I do” than surrounded by rustic charm, romantic fairy lights and of course all the people who matter most.
With a rich Cadbury purple and burnt orange colour scheme, festive touches, stunning sparkler moments in the Courtyard and a relaxed, go-big-but-keep-it-simple approach, their day was filled with so much love! We’re so excited to share a glimpse into their unforgettable South Farm wedding…
Date of your wedding: 10/12/25
Time of your ceremony: 2:00pm
Location of your Ceremony: The Tudor Barn
We’d love to hear how and when you first met?
We met at the Tattersalls mare sales but both of us were in relationships then, quite a few years down the line we caught up and the rest is history.
Which parts of the venue did you use for your big day?
We had our ceremony and wedding breakfast in the Tudor Barn. We had tea and coffee while everything was being turned around in the Old Dairy. Dancing was in the Horse Barn.

Which was your favourite spot for wedding photos?
We absolutely loved the fairy-lit driveway and around the Farmhouse.

Tell us about any special colour schemes you had for your wedding day ?
We had Cadbury purple and burnt orange intertwined with festive decorations.
We’d love to know if you included any eco-friendly or sustainable touches in your special day?
We didn’t send any paper invitations it was all online.
How did you first hear about South Farm and what made you choose our venue for your wedding day?
We looked online for venues in a radius between where we live and our families and it was so central and easy to find it was a no brainer!

How many speeches did you have and do you have any advice for anyone giving a speech?
We gave five short sharp speeches. Best advise is keep it short, keep it from the heart and have a stiff drink beforehand.
How many Bridesmaids did you have and how did you ask them to be your Bridesmaids?
I had six. Two Maids of Honour and four Bridesmaids. I asked them in person and as a group. Of course they were so excited! They are literally the best friends you can ever ask for!

How did you pick your Best Men and Ushers?
Dave has a really good friend called Lauren so of course she had Best Woman duties. He didn’t have any ushers.
How did you feel on the day?
So so relaxed the staff were amazing and everything was run so smoothly there was no reason for me to get nervous or worry about anything.

What was your most memorable moment from your wedding?
We have two – definitely walking down the aisle to ‘Hold My Hand’ and then our amazing and fun photos with the sparklers and the fire pit!!
How did you choose your ceremony & first dance music?
Luke Combs – Beautiful Crazy – well we both decided that actually this is our life and very true for all my traits.

What did you wear?
I wore a beautiful dress from Wed2be with the biggest train you could imagine.
Is there anything you would have done differently?
No. They say your wedding day should be the best day of your life and because of everyone and South Farm being so incredibly professional, welcoming and brilliant it was the best day of our lives!!!
What are your top tips for other couples?
Don’t waste money on things that aren’t necessary.
Where do you plan to go on honeymoon?
We plan to go to Pearl Harbour, Hawaii
