Luke and Chelcie’s ‘meant-to-be’ May Wedding

September 18, 2026
Bride and groom take their views in outdoor wedding ceremony in pretty garden summer house

Luke and Chelcie met online and from their very first date they both knew they had found the one. They got married at South Farm in May in beautiful garden ceremony and the ducks even made a surprise appearance during their ceremony!
They styled their special day with a rustic modern theme and enjoyed photos with the goats, donkeys and piglets!
Read all about their beautiful garden wedding in our latest blog.

Date of your wedding:           27th May 2026

Time of your ceremony:        3pm

Location of your ceremony:  The Summer House

We’d love to hear how and when you first met!

We met on a dating site called Lovoo. We both swiped right and it was a match! Our first date I remember telling my mum and sister that was it we just knew we had found each other’s person.

Which parts of the South Farm did you use on your big day?

We had the most beautiful ceremony in the Summer House. We had the ducks swimming in the pond, the sun was shining and it was incredible. We enjoyed our drinks reception outside as well as our meal in the Tudor barn it was so lovely and the staff were so helpful. Our evening dance was in the Horse Barn where we showed off out own choreographed dance!

Which was your favourite spot for wedding photos?

The whole place was so beautiful for  photos – I wouldn’t be able to pick!

Tell us about any special colour schemes or themes you had for your wedding day?

Our colour scheme was lilac (being my favourite colour). We went for a rustic modern feel to the wedding.

How did you first hear about South Farm and what made you choose our venue for your wedding day?

We made a Hitched account where South Farm was top of the list. Your reviews were incredible. I first found you on Instagram and Facebook and was instantly won over even before we viewed the venue.

How did you feel on the day?

We felt very relaxed knowing everything was being organised and sorted. The team at South Farm were very helpful and everyone knew the answer to our questions (even if they were bit silly!)

What was your most memorable moment from your wedding?

It’s hard to pick one moment from the wedding as every moment was memorable!

How did you choose your ceremony and first dance music?

Our first dance music has always been our song when we first got together and it has remained ever since!

Our ceremony songs we played non stop on apple music or Spotify to make sure they were exactly what we wanted.

How many bridesmaids did you have and how did you ask them to be your bridesmaids?

I had only one being my sister who was Maid of honour. Its funny because she knew before I even asked her to be! I got her a bag with maid of honour on it and a pen, a notebook and some jewellery inside.

How did you pick your best men and ushers?

We chose Luke’s best friend and his sister’s partner.

How many speeches did you have and do you have any advice for anyone giving a speech?

We had four speeches. I would say always add a few  jokes in there as the speeches can be very emotional so adding a joke lightens the mood slightly.

What did you wear?

I wore a ivory dress with some sparkles. I then changed into a much smaller dress in the evening to let lose my dancing – haha!

Luke wore a white tux.

Is there anything you would have done differently?

Nothing – it was perfect.

What are your top tips for other couples?

Try and spend as much time together in the day a possible as it goes so quickly.

Where did you go for your honeymoon?

We went for a mini moon the day after the wedding. We went to a little Air BnB with a hot tub.

We are hoping to go on a safari for our main honeymoon.
