From an intimate and joyful Tisch in the Old Dairy to a stunning outdoor chuppah by the pond, every moment of their day was thoughtfully planned to reflect who they are as a couple. With each part of the venue playing its own special role — from a relaxed drinks reception on the Garden Terrace to a vibrant evening of dancing in the Horse Barn – their wedding day was nothing short of perfect! And, in true South Farm style, there was even an unexpected (and unforgettable!) appearance from some cute feathered guests…

Which was your favourite spot for wedding photos?
Kitchen Garden for first look photos, the orchard and front of the charming Farmhouse for portraits.
How did you first hear about South Farm and what made you choose our venue for your wedding day?
We were searched Google for ‘Barn wedding venue north of London’. We have such a love for animals and absolutely fell in love with the venue online and during our first visit. From the first time contacting South Farm, they were so welcoming and helpful!
Tell us some detail about your special day?
We had a large tisch in The Old Dairy, the Chuppah in the Formal Gardens, wedding breakfast in the charming Tudor Barn, and dancing in the Horse Barn.
How did you feel on the day?
Once everything was ready, we felt great. It was an incredible feeling looking around and seeing everyone from different parts of your life stood in the same room. It was a very emotional day, and it finished on such a high.
What was your most memorable moment from your wedding?
The ducks walking down the aisle mid ceremony!!!
How many Bridesmaids did you have and how did you ask them to be your Bridesmaids?
Two – I handed/sent them a card each.
How did you pick your Best men and Ushers?
Casually just asked them whilst having drinks
How many speeches did you have and do you have any advice for anyone giving a speech?
For the main meal we had four speeches (Bride’s parents, Groom’s parents, Groom and Bride). Speak from the heart, tell a story, keep it short. Everyone is on your side and it is really hard for it to go badly.
What did you wear?
Groom: Green linen suit with loafers
Bride: Wedding dress – The Cannoli by Luna Novias
Is there anything you would have done differently?
No – it was perfect!
What are your top tips for other couples?
Plan the wedding yourselves, and do it how you both want to. On the day, ensure you have friends/family/staff to help you so that you can soak it all in.
Where did you go on honeymoon?
We went to Madeira
