Things we are already doing:
  • Aiming to carpool as much as possible — CO2 emissions from travel is probably one of the biggest factors for a band so we try and reduce this wherever possible.
  • Moving towards rechargeable batteries in all of our wireless equipment to reduce waste.
Options which are more eco-friendly for the client:
  • With The Oomparty Band, our roaming bands can be totally acoustic, which means no electricity usage for a PA system. As a brass band we can bring plenty of volume without relying on electricity so the party isn’t compromised!
  • Our smaller lineups (2pc Stage Show) require fewer personnel on site, so we can get away with only one or two vehicles, but are still great options to bring the vibe in the evening.
  • We have a wide selection of lighting fixtures available, of both halogen and LED varieties — while we do love the look of old-school halogen lights, we have some fantastic low-power LED alternatives available which can be just as eye-catching and use a tiny fraction of the power.
