Hello team,
I can’t believe it’s been four weeks already since our incredible day with you all. We can’t say thank you enough for everything you did for us in the run up and during our wedding.
From our first meeting and show round in November 2018 we knew South Farm was a special place and we just had to have our wedding there. Every single person we spoke or met with was incredible, including but not limited to, Emily, Summer, Christine, Becky and Michelle; from our planning meeting, the couples taster evening (literally never known another venue that does anything that incredible), all the postponement and rescheduling, the second planning meeting and all the panicky calls and emails were dealt with nothing other than calm, friendliness and reassurance. In 20 months like no other to hit the wedding and hospitality industry, you all made us feel like everything was under control, even when it probably didn’t feel like it was your end but it made all the difference to us when we were making those difficult choices.
Luckily every choice we did make with your help was absolutely the right one and the whole day was exactly – if not better – than we dreamed it would be. So many of our guests couldn’t tell us enough how gorgeous the place was and were so impressed – like we were – with your onsite kitchen team and dedication to growing and raising the produce you serve. We’re still getting people telling us how incredible the food was! Not a single complaint to be had and it all went down an absolute treat.
An extra special mention to Julie for being our coordinator on the day; an absolutely unflappable, consummate professional who knew all the answers to any questions we had before we asked them! From the little things like asking if we wanted a peek at the rooms after set up, to muscling her way into the evening buffet to make us up a plate of food and leave it in the bridal suite for us (the best idea EVER!), we had absolutely no worries the entire day, she was incredible.
And finally a big thank you to all the rest of the operational team who made everything run like a dream, from the kitchen team, to the F&B and bar staff. I’ve worked in hospitality and customer facing roles since I was 16 and I have to say, your staff are some of the best. Even coming down to breakfast the next morning to see all the tables set up and decorated with our centerpieces and decorations was such a lovely surprising touch; so unexpected but just a lovely example of some of the things that make South Farm so special.
The only disappointment was the absolute audacity of your lovely pig to still be overdue and pregnant on the day – only for her to give birth the day after we believe? How rude, haha! Still can’t believe we missed out on piglet pictures!! But we won’t hold it against you 🙂
Seriously guys, thank you just doesn’t feel enough, you made our whole day and we’ll never forget it. We won’t hesitate to recommend you!
