As you may see on our social media accounts over the next couple of weeks, there are a range of exciting improvements happening at South Farm at the moment. We always take advantage of the window of opportunity in January, when we are slightly quieter, to carry out annual maintenance, repainting, remodelling and landscaping works to keep South Farm looking fabulous ????
So to all our visitors in the coming weeks please be aware that we are making the following improvements and that we will be back to our wedding best very soon and ready for your stunning 2023 weddings!
Outdoors: we are relaying the garden terrace as you step outside of the house to the back garden and reducing the size of the larger garden bed to the left of this space to allow for easier guest movement to the outside bar and round to the Old Dairy ???? this will mirror the work that we made on the Sunset Terrace last Winter.
Accommodation: we are redecorating all our lovely guest bedrooms with a fresh lick of paint, as we do every year. We are also completely redecorating the Coach House Suite bathroom, which we are really excited for, as it will give it a big lift and make it even more amazing for our wedding couples. Our Romany Wagons are also going to be decorated, they have to be brought inside so they can be painted away from the elements, so if visit us and notice fewer wagons than usual please do not worry, they’ve not gone far and will be back in place very soon and looking smarter than ever.
Old Dairy: we are opening up the ceremony end of the Old Dairy by adding windows into the ceiling and wall next to where the ceremony takes place, these will match the existing windows at the other end of the Dairy ???? we are looking forward to how much additional natural light this will create to enhance your stunning wedding ceremony and photographs!
Catering Kitchen: Although you don’t really get to see this we are also having some work done to our catering kitchen – we are making it a little larger so the kitchen team have more space to prepare everyone’s delicious wedding food and we are making the space much easier for the chefs to work in too!
