Take your pick from our five ceremony options for the perfect setting to say ‘I do’. With choices for smaller ceremonies at our small intimate wedding venue, larger celebrations, and everything in between, our civil ceremony spaces, inside and out, are all uniquely beautiful and ready for you to fall in love with!
Choose The Drawing Room for an intimate ceremony for up to 35 guests, The grand Tudor Barn with stunning Elm beams and twinkling fairy lights for up to 180 or cosy up for a ceremony in The Horse Barn for 65 guests. The Garden Summerhouse offers a stunning outdoor ceremony setting between March and October or choose the rustic Old Dairy with views over the paddocks for up to 100.

Summerhouse
Licensed for outdoor civil ceremonies between March and October, our garden ceremony setting, the Summer House is often the favourite location to tie the knot and is the perfect place for a garden wedding ceremony.
Old Dairy
A charming indoor alternative to a garden wedding ceremony our rustic Old Dairy is the perfect space for celebratory drinks.
Drawing Room
Perfect for intimate ceremonies and celebratory drinks the beautifully furnished Drawing Room also offers a comfortable indoor space during a drinks reception at our garden wedding venue.

There’s so much to consider when it comes to choosing a same sex wedding venue and planning your special day. We’ve been hosting weddings at our Hertfordshire wedding venue since 2005 so we’ve put together a handy list of FAQ’s to help answer some of the questions you may have. If you are interested in holding your wedding at South Farm and have any questions about our late availability wedding venue or your big day then please get in touch – we’d love to talk weddings with you!
What is the maximum number of guests I can invite?
Take a look at our barn wedding venue page which gives you all the detailed capacity information for ceremonies and receptions. Our maximum guest numbers for ceremony and dining is 146 and for an evening party 250. Please note that your evening guest numbers should not exceed your day guest numbers so for example if you have 100 guests with you in the day you can have up to another 100 in the evening but not more.
What time can my evening reception go on until?
Midnight is the usual finish time but this may depend on what time you are getting married. Timings are linked to our Cambridgeshire outdoor wedding venues fees so if you would like an early ceremony and a later finish you may need to pay for additional hours. We are licensed until 12am all days of the week except for Saturdays when we can organise a late 1am licence if you wish (an additional charge will apply).
We love the idea of an outdoor ceremony but what if it rains on the day?
We know that couples love the idea of a winter wedding venue, which is why we always ask couples who would like to get married outside (March to October only) to choose an indoor option as well. This gives a contingency in case of wet or windy weather and maximum flexibility. We usually prepare both indoor and outdoor ceremony areas allowing for a last minute decision to be made. The Registrars do have the final say on proceeding with an outdoor ceremony if the weather is changeable.
