Marriage looks different for everyone, so it makes sense for your wedding ceremony to be as unique as you. Our couples have a choice of five licensed ceremony options to make their wedding as magical as possible.
Choose The Drawing Room for an intimate space with soft lighting, The grand Tudor Barn for a grand and elegant setting with twinkly fairy lights in our intimate wedding venue or for a rustic backdrop with pops of colour The Horse Barn is a great option. The Garden Summerhouse provides a beautiful outdoor ceremony between March and October or choose the rustic Old Dairy with a traditional charm that you can’t help but love.
Whichever you choose, at our late availability wedding venue you will celebrate your marriage in total privacy with your loved ones.

A choice of licensed ceremony spaces, inside and out. Our pretty summerhouse is the perfect back drop for an idyllic outdoor wedding ceremony. A grand Tutor Barn or initmate dining room for indoors.
Tudor Barn
A magical setting for a barn wedding ceremony, the Tudor Barn is framed with ancient, rustic elm beams and makes for an impressive entrance.
Summerhouse
Licensed for outdoor civil ceremonies between March and October, our garden ceremony setting, the Summer House is often the favourite location to tie the knot and is the perfect place for a garden wedding ceremony.
Old Dairy
A charming indoor alternative to a garden wedding ceremony our rustic Old Dairy is the perfect space for celebratory drinks.
Drawing Room
Perfect for intimate ceremonies and celebratory drinks the beautifully furnished Drawing Room also offers a comfortable indoor space during a drinks reception at our garden wedding venue.

There’s so much to consider when it comes to choosing a Cambridge wedding venue and planning your special day. We’ve been hosting weddings in our countryside wedding venue since 2005 so we’ve put together a handy list of FAQ’s to help answer some of the questions you may have. What does your venue hire include?
Our venue hire fee includes use of South Farm for the duration of your event plus all the extras you need….tables, chairs, crockery, glasses, table linen and all our twinkly fairy lights throughout the venue so you don’t have to worry about hiring additional items in. There are also lots of extras we provide, included in the venue hire, to make your day seamless and unique, sound systems in all our ceremony spaces, microphones for speeches and even bio-degradable South Farm rose petal confetti! You will have a dedicated, experienced Event Manager and a friendly and professional Front of House team on hand to look after you, your guests, your suppliers and all the little details so that you can relax and just enjoy your day at our wedding venue in Hertfordshire!
How accessible is South Farm?
Although we are set in the countryside our outdoor wedding venue in Cambridgeshire is fully accessible with paving and pathways around the whole venue and everything on ground floor level. The entrance door into the main farmhouse and French windows out onto the terrace have small thresholds to get over but we have ramps which can be put out on arrival – just let us know that these are required at your Planning Meeting. We also have a rest room with disabled access in the Horse Barn. Accommodation-wise our most accessibly friendly bedroom on site is the Tack Room, this is located near to the Tudor Barn and has a walk in shower and hand rail next to the toilet. At Fen Bridge Farm, our sister B&B down the road, there is fully accessible disabled accommodation for two. Our wedding venue near Royston is also easily accessible from nearby areas by road or rail.
I love the idea of an outdoor ceremony but what if it rains on the day?
We know many couples are interested in a winter wedding venue, which is why we always ask couples who would like to get married outside (March to October only) to choose an indoor option as well. This gives a contingency in case of wet or windy weather and maximum flexibility. We usually prepare both indoor and outdoor ceremony areas allowing for a last minute decision to be made. The Registrars do have the final say on proceeding with an outdoor ceremony if the weather is changeable.
