As 2023 comes to a close and we welcome in the New Year we are so excited for 2024 and all the New Year brings and of course especially for our couples getting married this year! We would like to wish all our couples, past, present and future a very Happy New Year!
2023 has been a magical year full of wonderful weddings – it is absolutely our pleasure to host so many beautiful weddings and we’ve loved making all your wedding dreams come true!
We’re also proud of some rather impressive 2023 achievements – all with thanks to our EPIC team here at South Farm…
- We were thrilled to win ‘Best Barn Wedding Venue 2023′ at The Wedding Industry Awards National Final!‘
- We loved organising and hosting a hugely successful charity event in aid of the British Red Cross Ukraine Crisis Appeal raising an impressive grand total of £16,175.28
- Our ever fabulous Garden Team carefully grew, selected and picked the perfect fruits, vegetables and flowers from our smallholding bringing home some amazing first and second prizes at the historic and renowned Gransden Show!
- Our ‘Darling Dahlia’s ‘ in our pretty Kitchen Garden had their best year yet and were the absolute showstopper particularly for our Autumn Weddings making a beautiful backdrop for wedding photos for our happy couples!
- In addition, our cauliflowers that we over-wintered in our polytunnels did superbly and it was fabulous to see them used by our chefs in a variety of our seasonal and plant-based menus.
- We made it to the top 7% of all VenuePro partners on Bridebook winning a gold award for ‘Best of Bridebook Award 2023’ – an amazing achievement!
- The venue improvements that we carried out at the start of the year have been enjoyed by all our couples and their guests this year! From a full re-design of our stunning Garden Terrace, along with a ceiling and window re-design in the Old Dairy to let in all that glorious sunlight, the installation of six NEW EV charging points and not forgetting a beautiful make-over in the Coach House Suite bathroom. We’re sure you’ll agree the venue, garden and grounds have never looked better 😊
- And last but not least, we had our largest set of piglets born in the Farmyard – 11 gorgeous piggies!!! Your feedback tells us that our couples and guests love the unique features of South Farm and we love that having wedding day photos with our friendly rare-breed animals is right at the top of many of our couples lists!
We must also say a huge thank you to all of our wonderful couples, BRILLIANT staff, amazing suppliers and kind friends who helped make this year absolutely EPIC! – an exciting year awaits us all in 2024 and we can’t wait to host more amazing weddings this year!
