We’d love to hear your first date stories or tell us how and when you first met!
We met on a soccer coaching camp in America 15 years ago as friends and then again we met via online dating four years ago.
Which parts of the venue you used for your big day?
Our ceremony was in the beautiful summer house, we were worried as it was so hot we wouldn’t be able to get married outside! We didn’t need to worry as South Farm had everything sorted for us to help with the heat. Reception drinks in the gardens and dancing in the barn! Just wonderful!
Which was your favourite spot for wedding photos?
This is a hard one as every photo was stunning! The front of house had some wonderful photos, in front of the wagons too was pretty cool! But really the best ones were the natural ones in and around the gardens. South Farm is stunning where ever you are.
Tell us about any special colour scheme and how you
styled your big day?
We went for a lilac/purple type colour scheme but nothing too much as the venue itself just makes it perfect that you don’t need anything extra.
How did you first hear about South Farm and what made you choose our venue for your
wedding day?
Dave found South Farm through online searches! He did very well xx
Tell us some detail about your special day?
We kept everything as simple as possible. We didn’t want anything over the top and we wanted everyone to have a very chilled day. It was lovely as it was really the first time since lockdown when all our friends and family could meet each other. One little thing we did was have the South Farm ice cream cart! This was just perfect as it was about 35 degrees on the day!
How did you feel on the day?
We were a little nervous but very excited at the same time. South farm staff made us feel so relaxed throughout, we really can’t thank them enough for all that everyone did for us
What was your most memorable moment from your wedding?
The ‘I do’s’ in the summer house! Wow! What a stunning place to say our vows.
How did you choose your ceremony and first dance music?
We decided to pick songs we both like but then found orchestral versions of them for ceremony and our first dance was Florence and the Machine ‘You’ve Got the Love’ …
everyone joined in dancing with us which was perfect for us as we aren’t fans of dancing!
How many bridesmaids did you have and how did you ask them to be your bridesmaids?
We had two bridesmaids, my best friend and sister. I just asked them via text message! Haha! Nothing fancy!
How did you pick your best men and ushers?
Dave’s best friend was his best man.
How many speeches did you have and do you have any advice for anyone giving a speech?
We had 3 speeches. My Dad and Dave and his best man AJ. Speeches are great just keep them short and sweet!
What did you wear?
I wore a ivory lace dress
Is there anything you would have done differently?
No! Nothing! It was perfect from start to end!
What are your top tips for other couples?
Relax, enjoy every minute and make sure you have time on the day that’s just for you as a couple. Our photographer Bea was wonderful at finding time for our photos but also it gave us space for us.
Where did you go on honeymoon?
We went to Scotland! It was stunning!
