South Farm Spring Watch Update

South Farm > News > News & Blog > South Farm Spring Watch Update

There is so much happening on the farm this week. We are very excited that our Kestrel has laid an egg today –  pink in colour. We hope you can spot it in the left hand photo below – just to the left and below the centre of the nesting box! It’s the beginning of a ten week journey for our Kestrels!

Our Barn Owls are also much more present in the nesting box, here they are taking a break from their regular hunting and preening – we are hoping the female will lay very soon.

Don’t forget you can watch our live feeds here – we’ve treated you to a ringside seat!  If you are interested in birds and nature it really is a must watch!

There are lots of other exciting Spring happenings on the farm too!

We have Bantam chicks which hatched last week, shown in our main image along with one Runner duck who seems to think he is a Bantam chick too. The Bantam chicks think he is their Mum! They are all shown together in our main image and below the Runner Duck is nestled in a fishing bait box keeping cosy – very sweet!  They are currently in our ‘Chick Nursery’ and then will venture out in the barnyard in just a few weeks!

The biggest thank you for everything you all did to help us have the best day
