We pride ourselves on our food here at South Farm and we have very good reason to be especially proud! Earlier this month our Head Chef, Vlad and Sous Chef, Hannah competed at the prestigious International Salon Culinaire at the Excel centre in London, both winning awards in their chosen categories!

Hannah and Vlad competed in the team Mystery Basket Grand Prix. They were only notified of the ingredients they could use at 5pm on Tuesday 22nd March and by 8.45am the following morning they were at Excel London preparing to cook their chosen dishes! Despite being up against some serious competition including prestigious chefs from top London Hotels they both won Gold Medals. Vlad also won Best in Class and a Hygiene Award for his Perfect Pasta Category entry!
 
Vlad cooked a stunning dish of Hazelnut & Honey Crusted Rack of Lamb with Asparagus, Girolles, Jerusalem Artichokes and Minted Hollandaise.   For the Perfect Pasta Senior category he cooked a Herb Ricotta Herb Ricotta and Egg Yolk Ravioli, Pangratatto and ‘Nduja & Chorizo sauce.

Hannah cooked a Dark Chocolate & Orange Mousse on an Orange Shortbread with Ginger and Lemon Poached Pears and Hazlenut Praline and Honey Cream.

Here they both are photographed with their medals – what an amazing achievement – well done Hannah & Vlad!!

And the food! What can I say other than it was impeccable, the canapés were delicious
