Spring is well and truly here and everything is looking stunning in the gardens with colourful blooms bursting into life (helped by the sunshine and a little rain!) Our beautiful gardens are being enjoyed by our lovely couples and their wedding guests and make the perfect backdrop for wedding photos and drinks in the gardens!
This month we’ve see the return of our beautiful cherry and almond blossoms, along with vibrant spring bulbs and the wonderful wisteria on the farmhouse. Over the coming weeks the wisteria outside the Old Dairy and on the walkway will also come into bloom making another stunning backdrop Our woodland bluebells make a pretty carpet of blooms by the old Horse Chestnut tree in front of the farmhouse. There is Spring colour popping up everywhere!
Down on the farm our homegrown produce is thriving in the poly tunnels. Our smallholding team pick our homegrown fruit, vegetables and herbs daily and deliver them to our kitchen for use in our delicious seasonal wedding menus. From juicy heritage tomatoes and crisp cucumbers to fragrant herbs and pretty edible flower used for garnishing – our dedicated team are working hard to ensure a bountiful harvest this year supporting our sustainability and eco friendly initiatives on the farm.
We also have some exciting news from our Kestrel nesting box – our first kestrel egg was laid last week and we now have four eggs in the nesting box where the female is sitting patiently. If you want to take a peek at the updates head over to our live stream. We have also discovered a little nest of Moor Hen Eggs – we’ll be keeping a close eye on both nests and hoping for chicks!

We’re so proud of our beautiful countryside wedding venue and we think it’s the perfect setting for a dream wedding day! We’ll be sharing more from the farm and our sustainable wedding venue soon and as we move through the Summer months we will keep you updated with news from the farm and gardens!
