Wedding Cakes are freshly baked and decorated by Kelly at our commercial bakery in Bassingbourn and all of our consultations are held either here (for 2025 weddings) or at our little pink cake and coffee shop in Royston (located next door to Royston Museum on Lower King Street).
We specialise in buttercream covered cakes with a high level of finishing, dressed with fresh florals from the couples’ own florist.
Our shops in both Royston and Bassingbourn are open to the public on Fridays and Saturdays, and we offer lots of indulgent treats such as gourmet cupcakes, cookie pies, brownies and cookies.
At a consultation, couples can enjoy a complimentary drink whilst trying 4 cake flavours and discussing their wedding cake. The consultation fee of £30 also includes some brownie bites and a discount voucher for our shop. Kelly sketches out several designs at the consultation for couples to choose from.
Prior to the consultation, we ask couples to fill out a questionnaire. This allows Kelly to get an understanding of the couple themselves and the vision they have for their wedding. This also allows Kelly to prepare some ideas in advance.
Wedding Cakes are baked as close to the wedding as possible for ultimate freshness. Local ingredients are used where possible and all of our eggs are free range from a local farm in the same village as the bakery.
Flavours include; Chocolate and home-made Salted Caramel, Victoria Sponge with Raspberry or Strawberry Bonne Maman conserve, Lemon with home-made Lemon Curd, Biscoff with crushed Biscoff biscuit pieces and many, many more. We also take requests for flavours too.
On your wedding day, we will set up your cake with care, working closely with other suppliers. We always leave a small bag of little extras for you (ask us for more details!). We also offer complimentary cupcakes on your first anniversary on the completion of a feedback questionnaire after your wedding day.
