Thank you to everyone who visited our Open House Event on Sunday 21st January. We were thrilled to welcome around 200 visitors and the day was a great success. Luckily the storms stayed away and we were even treated to some afternoon sunshine! It was wonderful to meet all our guests and a great opportunity for couples to explore our beautiful barns, gorgeous gardens and country farmhouse.
Our Event Team were on hand to greet couples and enjoyed chatting to our visitors about their wedding plans. Our Front of House Team served a delicious selection of South Farm canapés, along with blondies and brownies – all created by our talented chefs. Our Garden team set up a wonderful display of some of our home-grown seasonal produce and guests could wander through the small-holding to see where we grow the fruit, vegetables and herbs we use in our wedding menus and meet our friendly sheep and piglets!
We were delighted to be joined by some of our recommended suppliers too who helped us to showcase the venue. Gemma from The White Emporium and Sally from Halo Blossom worked their amazing magic in The Tudor Barn, Old Dairy and garden and made all our venue spaces look especially stunning with beautiful florals and gorgeous drapes and styling details. We were thrilled to welcome the team from Cambridgeshire Registrars who joined us in the Tudor Barn and chatted to our guests about South Farm Wedding Ceremonies.
Emma from Olive & Co joined us in The Granary with a very popular doughnut wall and a takeaway wedding favour station. DJ Gary, South Farm’s House DJ, entertained our guests in The Horse Barn with his amazing sound and light rig and our guests enjoyed music in The Old Dairy from Dave Foster. Hoofbooth set up their lovely Horse Box Photo Booth in the courtyard, a great hit with guests!
Shades of White displayed a beautiful wedding dress in The Coach House Suite where Valentina from Bespoke Bridal by Valentina also demonstrated her fabulous hair and make up skills. Our chef (and bride to be) Hannah made a perfect hair model and we all loved the stunning bridal hair style Valentina created for her!
The talented Liz Greenhalgh joined us to chat to our guests about wedding day photography and took photos throughout the afternoon. Our thanks to Liz for the amazing collection of photos and being with us to capture the event as it happened!
